Canadian connection: Drake meets Celine Dion at Billboards

Rapper Drake poses in the press room with his awards during the 2017 Billboard Music Awards at the T-Mobile Arena on May 21, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Vanessa Hudgens, you look incredible tonight". Hudgens wasn't the only one he showed his affection to.

Prince Jackson, the son of late Michael Jackson, handed Drake the award in Top Artist Category. But maybe that was just so he could be more easily seen from the Strip as he ran through his song "Gyalchester" while standing on a platform floating in the lagoon outside the Bellagio. She should have a row of those up on her shelf already, but the singer accepted it graciously, and in her speech, she made sure not to take all the credit for her success.

The early winners announced Sunday by dick clark productions included Beyonce, who won five, and twenty one pilots, who won four.

The victor of the night's icon award, Cher proved why she was deserving of the award.

Here's something we don't acknowledge enough: We all ought to be a little more thankful for Drake and his shameless thirst for pop culture's reigning women.

Three things to watch on Donald Trump's foreign trip
Kushner has joined him on the trip and is expected to play a key part in negotiating an arms deal with Saudi Arabia. Here are three things to watch on President Donald Trump's foreign trip.

Singing classic hits "Believe" and "If I Could Turn Back Time", Cher channeled her 1999 and 1989 self with two costume changes during the epic performance.

"I have wanted to do this since I was 5 years old and I've been doing it for 53 years".

Ahead of a moment's silence, Dan Reynolds, singer of the rock band Imagine Dragons, paid tribute to Cornell as a "prolific songwriter, a legendary performer, a singer who had a voice for the ages and a philanthropist". On it's 20 year anniversary though, it felt as fresh as ever, with Dion giving the performance everything she had.

Under a glittering chandelier and dressed in a Met-worthy white gown, Dion wowed the audience with her performance and earned one of the biggest cheers of the night. While many music fans know the singer has a great voice, Cyrus really showed off her vocals on Sunday night, bringing herself to tears as the song ended. On receiving the silverware Drake was joined on stage by his father, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj amongst others.

In the clip above, Dion goes as far as to sing "Do you believe in Cher after love", making a convincing case for a lyrical addendum. Viewers took to social media reacting to the daring look.
