Thursday's stunt marked the fifth anniversary of her husband's walk on a tightrope over Niagara Falls, which straddle the border between Canada and the United States.

Erendira has attempted stunts since she was 5 years old and said she hopes she can perform another act with her husband five years from now - or pass the tradition of daredevil feats on to the next generation. Wallenda will hang from a lyra, or a hula-hoop shaped ring, from a helicopter hovering 300 feet over Horseshoe Falls.

The stunt coincides with the fifth anniversary of Nik Wallenda's historic 550-metre tightrope walk from the NY side of Niagara Falls, into Canada.

The $120,000 stunt was jointly sponsored by the city of Niagara Falls, the Niagara County Legislature and the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino.

With the mist from the falls as a backdrop, Wallenda worked herself into a series of dramatic poses, waving her arms as she dangled by her knees and toes and doing handstands and splits. "Even though it's like seven minutes. or maybe 10 minutes.it seems like a second to me", she said.

The fingers of blame were pointed at Saudi Arabia and the U.S. , who were accused of being behind the attacks. Following the incident, the so-called Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the bombings.

Wallenda also had a message for young girls after her stunt - you can do anything a guy can do, with a little more grace. "I feel like that's where God tells me 'this is what I made you for'". The Oehler family chose to plan their day around it - celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary by watching Wallenda. Nik Wallenda recalled his wife saying.

Follow along with updates from our staff at Niagara Falls. That record she broke by the way was the record her husband set back in 2011.

Taking off over the Horeshoe Falls at 8:35 a.m., Erendira Wallenda hung from the helicopter by clinging on to a customized mouthpiece attached to the bottom of the aircraft for 20 minutes.

She added, "I respect this man (Nik) so much more because that was way more windy than I thought it was going to be".
