Donald Trump 'yells at TVs in the White House' about Russian Federation investigation

Mr Trump tweeted: "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!". The White House has used a memo he wrote to justify Trump's decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, but that Trump action may now be part of the probe.

Trump seemed to confirm that he is under investigation on Friday morning when he criticized the special counsel's probe in a tweet.

Trump wrote that the investigation has not "been able to show any proof", an allegation that he assessed with one of his signature Twitter catchphrases: "Sad!" Rosenstein made the appointment after Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the investigation for failing to disclose during his confirmation hearings that he met with Russian officials before Trump took office. Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller on May 17 as special counsel to head the inquiry into the Russian Federation matter. News has reported that federal investigators are examining whether the president attempted to obstruct justice. He hadn't been asked by the White House to release the statement, which blasted the media's use of anonymous sources for major political stories, CNN reported.

Not for the first time, Trump gives a false impression of what's really going on. Rosenstein in a memo to Trump raised concerns over FBI Director James Comey.

Trump's Twitter response followed days of intensifying criticism of Mueller from some conservatives who have charged the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director and his team with political bias and have claimed his relationship to Comey and an earlier meeting with Trump amount to conflicts of interest. According to the Post, Mueller plans to interview both officials soon, and also plans to question Richard Ledgett, who until recently held the No. 2 job at the NSA.

The Washington Post on Wednesday reported that Mueller is investigating the Republican president for possible obstruction of justice.

"Americans should be skeptical about anonymous allegations", Rosenstein said.

John Oliver says Donald Trump 'needs to stop lying to coal miners'
The " Last Week Tonight " host ripped the President's soft approach towards the coal industry and said he "needs to stop lying to coal miners".

The preservation order covers any information involving Russian Federation or Ukraine, and records on former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, former foreign policy adviser Carter Page, business partner Rick Gates, informal adviser and friend Roger Stone, and Flynn, according to a memo obtained by the Times.

Rosenstein took command of the investigation in early March, when Sessions announced that he was recusing himself due to his substantial role in Trump's presidential campaign a year ago. Comey said he believes Trump ultimately fired him "because of the Russian Federation investigation".

In another early morning tweet, Trump said that despite months of investigation no proof has been presented of any collusion he may have had with the Kremlin.

In an attempt to inoculate the Trump administration from criticism over Comey, many top officials have heralded Rosenstein.

It's unclear if the president is referring to direct knowledge that he's being investigated or reacting to media reports.

Raw Story's Sarah K. Burris said, "The statement left the internet wondering if it was forced by President Donald Trump - or if the Justice Department was hacked".
