Manchester benefit concert is underway

Singer Ariana Grande has returned to the stage two weeks after a suicide bombing killed 22 people at her concert in Manchester.

The show raised money for the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing and their families, and organizers expected to reach at least $2.5 million.

American star Grande said she was "praying for London" after the atrocity in the capital, which killed seven and left 48 injured.

Certainly, the popstar showed no signs of nerves following the brutal terror attack at the Manchester Arena close-to two weeks ago.

Will I Am took the opportunity to praise the efforts of emergency services and the courageous people of London and Manchester.

"Today's One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater goal", Braun stated.

He continued: "My thanks goes to those who joined us at the events today and remained patient as we carried out an increased number of searches to ensure everyone remained safe and enjoyed themselves".

Marcus Mumford holds minute's silence at One Love Manchester
Back on stage Sunday, Grande seemed heartened by the huge turnout. "Thanks for being so strong", she told the audience. The BBC , Twitter , Apple, YouTube and MTV streamed the concert live, making it available to viewers in 180 countries.

Mumford and Sons' Marcus Mumford kicked off the show with a minute of silence for the victims of both attack, followed by performances from superstars Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, and Coldplay. She even collaborated with others onstage: She sang Fergie's verse on the Black Eyed Peas hit, "Where Is the Love?" along with the group; she performed a duet with Cyrus; and she sang her debut song, "The Way", with rapper Mac Miller.

Late Saturday, police said a van plowed into pedestrians on London Bridge and that assailants went on a stabbing rampage at nearby Borough Market.

"They are bound together by the single evil ideology of Islamist extremism that preaches hatred, sows division and promotes sectarianism", she said.

He kept his set on the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester super simple. In times like these, we have to show love and kindness for those in need, and the Manchester One Love is a comfort to us all.

On Friday, Grande visited some of her injured fans at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

"We must not be afraid, and in tribute to all those affected here and around the world, we will bring our voices together and sing loudly", he added.

A city famous for its music would not let a senseless act deter them from holding their heads high and carrying on.
