President Donald Trump has mounted another Twitter attack on former election opponent Hillary Clinton, condemning her for previously destroying her phones and "bleaching" her emails.

Trump's tweets questioning why Clinton isn't subject to a Russia-related investigation seems to take a major leap in logic: Is he suggesting that Clinton was involved in a Russian scheme to make her lose the election?

Trump also tweeted that Mrs. Clinton "destroyed phones w/ hammer, "bleached" emails, & had husband meet w/AG".

And in February, three days after former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn resigned and two days after The New York Times ran a blockbuster story about Trump campaign aides reported ties to Russian Federation, the president used a news conference to try to divert attention to his old foe.

The couple who live there spent the next three hours tied up while the fugitives ate their beef stew and pilfered their valuables. They then fled the residence in a vehicle belonging to the couple, who managed to free themselves and call police shortly after.

The president questioned why "Crooked H" is not being investigated in the tweets.

Obstruction of justice is a serious charge, and one which led to impeachment proceedings against Richard Nixon after Watergate.

President Trump said in May that he fired Comey in part because of his disclosures previous year about the FBI's investigation into Clinton's private email server.

The president has also accused former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who presided over the Justice Department while it conducted the investigation into Clinton's private server use, of making "law enforcement decisions for political purposes".

For the record Mr. Comey, destruction of evidence is actually a federal crime and it was actually admitted to in actual FBI testimony, but only after you, Mr. Comey, chose to pass out immunity deals to Hillary's staff "like candy".
