What Crimes Could Jared Kushner Have Committed? Judge Nap Weighs In

- Following reports that Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and one of his advisers, wanted a back-channel line of communication with Russian officials, some Democrats have called for his security clearance to be revoked.

Conway declined to comment on a New York Times story published Sunday reporting that Kushner was seeking a line of communication to Vladimir Putin when he met in December with a Russian banker with close ties to the Russian president.

Trump added in the statement that Kushner was "respected by virtually everyone", and was busy working to help save the country "billions of dollars". "We know that there are been many news reports very recently that had the facts wrong".

The FBI is reportedly looking into Kushner and the Kislyak conversation as part of its probe into Russia's hacking of the 2016 campaign and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

President Trump believes that Russian officials are laughing at how the investigation into Russian meddling in the election has dominated the news cycle in Washington.

The Post report claims that Kushner, in a December meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, discussed setting up a "secret and secure communications channel" between the transition team and the Kremlin.

Mr Kushner had been regarded as an ascendent figure in the White House and a flag-bearer for the more moderate voices in the administration.

Boccabella said Paterno "could have made that phone call without so much as getting his hands dirty". Curley, Schultz and Spanier denied they were told the encounter in the shower was sexual in nature.

"I know that some administration officials are saying 'well, that's standard procedure.' I don't think it's standard procedure prior to the inauguration of the president of the United States by someone who is not in an appointed position".

"As you heard [national security adviser] Gen. [H.R.] McMaster [and Homeland Security] Secretary [John] Kelly over this weekend say, they are not concerned".

The Washington Post and NBC each reported late Thursday that Kushner's interactions with Russian figures were of interest to the FBI, but that this did not mean he was a target of the investigation.

Taking to Facebook on Sunday, Trump dismissed allegations of Russian Federation ties as "fake news" and "fabricated lies".

"It is my opinion that numerous leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the #FakeNews media", he wrote.

The report, if confirmed, would raise new questions about the Trump team's relationship with the Russians, who USA intelligence agencies say tried to sway the November election in Trump's favour. "Whenever you see the words "sources say" in the fake news media, and they don't mention names".
