Spears is ushered off stage by security

Britney Spears was faced with a scary situation Wednesday night after a fan rushed the stage during her Piece of Me show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, TMZ reports.

In April, Britney announced that she will end her four-year Las Vegas residency at the end of the year.

Fortunately, Spears' security team and her male backup dancers swiftly dealt with the fan.

No one is quite sure what the fan's intentions were when they ran on stage, but security guards weren't going to wait and see. He did a cartwheel onstage and kicked a security guard in the process before he was tackled by security.

In the clip, Britney is completely unaware of the intrusion and continues performing her song insane.

"We're told he was acting disorderly during her performance from out in the crowd, and was asked to leave by security".

Special counsel requests Michael Flynn documents
Witnesses interviewed by Mr Mueller's team claim two $40,000 payments from Flynn Intel Group to Inovo are being investigated as suspected bribes to Mr Alptekin.

After security gets hold of the man, a fan video shows Britney being escorted offstage for safety.

While she was performing at Planet Hollywood, a crazed fan rushed onto the stage. Spears, 35, later returned to the stage to finish out the show.

A confused Britney was quickly taken off of the stage while trying to figure out what was going on.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the suspect is in custody but did not release any more information about him. She later wrote in The Guardian: "My actions were intended as a non-violent, egg-based protest because I think Cowell has too much power and influence in the entertainment industry".

Before the show, Britney shared a collage of photographs from her performances on her Instagram page.
