Boy found dead in van at Orlando day care

Myles Hill, 3, was forgotten in a van by a daycare worker at Little Miracles Academy in Orlando, Florida for 11 hours.

Authorities are still awaiting the results of an autopsy but believe that his death is heat-related.

The sweltering Florida heat reached a high of 94-degrees Fahrenheit in Orlando on Monday, while temperatures inside a vehicle can rise higher.

"If you leave your child with someone, that person has the responsibility of taking care of them", Livingston, 71, told the Orlando Sentinel.

The boy's grandmother called 911 Monday evening when Myles was not dropped off at home, Mina said.

She also contacted the center and an employee was sent outside to check the van.

Employees found Myles' body after his grandmother and legal guardian called the center because he was not dropped off at home that afternoon.

The Israeli move adds further pressure on Qatar, which has been involved in a dispute with four of its Arab neighbours. He said the broadcaster " will follow up the subject through appropriate legal and judicial procedures ".

The van had reportedly left the daycare's facility on Monday morning and headed to its other center a few miles away. She told officers that she did not do a head count when dropping the children off, Mina said.

Flowers create a makeshift memorial August 8, 2017, in Orlando, in front of a day-care center where a toddler was found dead.

Some family members used the vigil as a time to put pressure on Orlando police investigators to make an arrest. According to documents obtained by WKMG, the day care facility was cited in a July inspection report for not thoroughly keeping track of children transported in company vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle could face charges, said Orlando police. If confirmed, Myles' death in a hot auto would be the fifth for a Florida child this year and the 32nd nationwide, Mina said.

In March 2017, the department found that staff were not "within sight and hearing" of the children during nap time.

The DCF did not respond to inquiries about whether Little Miracles Academy faced any repercussions for failing to meet these standards.

According to a tweet from News 13 reporter Jerry Hume, a note has been placed on the doors of Little Miracles Academy that says "closed until further notice".
