According to officials, her backpack was found near South Kaibab Trail and River Trail.

A woman's body was found Wednesday near Black Bridge, less than mile from Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the canyon. The cause of death was not immediately known but there was no indication of foul play, she added. The Coconino County Medical Examiner is working to positively identify the body. The girls were brought to camp and were said to be in good condition. He said the kids were unharmed.

"Sarah loved travelling with her family and sharing so many wonderful experiences with all of us", Mr Beadle wrote on Facebook.

Beadle was described by park officials as an experienced hiker who had hiked in the Grand Canyon previously.
