Game of Thrones Season 7: Hackers threaten to upload entire season

'GOT' S7 latest episode leaks online

'GOT' S7 latest episode leaks online

In the video letter Monday, the hackers claimed that HBO was the 17th company to be targeted by them and that only three previous targets refused to pay, according to the AP.

An unaired episode surfaced online last week as well as personal information of an HBO executive.

HBO is the latest in a string of media hacks.

Hackers who have leaked scripts and an episode from hit HBO show Game Of Thrones (GoT) have reportedly demanded a ransom.

"We want XXX dollars to stop leaking your data", the letter said, later alluding to a figure of half the group's annual budget of $12 million to $15 million. It appears that the hackers have more of #HBO's internal documents and they are demanding millions of Bitcoin as ransom. While HBO had released a statement claiming that they had faced similar issues in the past, and the channel is dealing with the problem accordingly, hackers have risen again.

The network said it does not believe their entire system has been compromised, however they concede that "further leaks might emerge from this cyber incident".

Location of downed Osprey found off Australian coast
The MV-22 that crashed off the coast of Australia Saturday were attached to 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force based in Okinawa. Twenty-three personnel were quickly saved, but three marines remained missing despite an air and sea search.

As you might have heard, HBO was recently hacked and with the hack, quite a ton of data was stolen in the process.

Included in the information sent to the Hollywood Reporter is a video message addressed to HBO CEO Richard Plepler calling for an undisclosed amount of money. Back then they had threatened to release more data from the upcoming episodes which they have now proved that they weren't joking about.

Despite this, the network has reiterated that it doesn't believe that its email system as a whole has been compromised.

The dump includes scripts from five "Game of Thrones" episodes and a month's worth of email from the account of an HBO programming executive.

HBO said that it is continuing to work with police and cybersecurity experts in order to learn the scope of the online breach, CBS News reported.
