Two people were hospitalized with stab wounds after a fight at Public School 67 on Mohegan Ave. near E. 179th St. in West Farms

The school serves students between sixth through 112th grades and shares space with PS 67 on Mohegan Avenue in the East Tremont section of the Bronx. The family even sought professional help outside of the school, but ultimately, Cedeno took action into his own hands, she told reporters.

There was no record at the school of a previous dispute between the three, police said.

More than a dozen other students were in the classroom at the time of the stabbing, which occurred after McCree and Laboy were throwing broken pencils at Cedeno's head, police said. "He had problems before, but not with these two individuals". A 16-year-old boy remains at the hospital in a critical but stable condition, also with chest wounds. The other boy, also slashed in the left arm multiple times, was treated for life-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect, armed with a three-inch switchblade, walked out of the the classroom after the stabbing and handed the weapon to a guidance counselor, Boyce said. "He's admitting stabbing these people with a knife he ordered".

Cedeno has been charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Cedeno spoke once, when questioned directly by Judge Patsy Gouldbourne about a legal issue involving an order of protection granted the surviving victim.

The witness, Jomarlyn Colon, 16, said Cedeno asked the classmates around who threw the pen at him.

The DOE didn't immediately comment on the allegations.

The attacker used a switchblade knife with a 3-inch blade that he brought into the school building, which does not have metal detectors. Earlier, friends of Cedeno's told a similar story.

McCree's stepfather, Kyle Victor, denied allegations that his stepson was a bully. "This is chaotic. For all of you politicians, we need you".

McCree was a playful, loving teen, his stepfather said.

Victor defended the accused bully as "a good kid, very smart, very loving". "[.] A 15-year-old [has] emotions and hormones running around, but he's in no way bad", Victor said. Police have not released the names of the victims or suspect.
