Xbox One 'Intelligent Delivery' Would Supercharge Game Downloads And Save Disk Space

Six New 360 Titles Join Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Today

Microsoft is looking to fuel this need for urgency with a new method for installing and streaming games on the Xbox One called "Intelligent Delivery". Microsoft's developer briefings even point out that Intelligent Delivery can be retrofitted to existing titles, though the process is only really recommended for upcoming games. For example, the maximum memory available for a game running in the foreground is just 1 GB. For games with single-player and multiplayer modes, users will also be able to remove the mode that they are not yet playing, with the ability to eventually reinstall the deleted mode.

One example of a situation that will take advantage of the new Xbox One technology is a game that supports various languages.

Tagged chunks are the backbone of the new Intelligent Delivery system and allow developers to send out parts of a game piecemeal - a very good way to cut down on the initial download time and should save significant hard drive space when utilized for your entire game collection. Instead of having to download all the languages, users will be able to select the language that they use and delete all the others.

Tagging parts of the game into chunks will apply to gameplay content as well. The platform holder has already dropped some hints about this functionality, confirming that Xbox One users won't need to download X's 4K assets, but the execution goes beyond that, being flexible enough even to support multi-disc releases - not now supported on Xbox One.

Yu Yureka 2 with 16-megapixel camera, 4GB RAM launched in India
It comes with a hybrid slot, where the user can opt for dual SIM cards or a single SIM card and MicroSD. The company has so far launched the YU Yureka , Yureka Plus, Yureka Note, Yureka S and Yureka Black.

"We have over 100 games with Xbox One X enhancements". The good news is that base Xbox One users won't need to download or store the X-specific 4K assets.

Xbox One Intelligent Delivery System: What's It All About?

When the Xbox One X launches in November it will allow exclusive 4K, HDR and 60FPS game capture options.

That's because, thanks to Intelligent Delivery, those without 4K capable consoles won't be required to download the 4K assets that they can't actually make the most of.
