This will be Xiaomi's second outing in the Notebook space, after the company launched the successful Mi Notebook Air in 2016. It's about as close as you're going to get to a 15-inch MacBook Pro for under $1,000, and if you can get past the copycat looks, it's a good deal. With aluminium alloy and magnesium alloy composition, the Mi Notebook Pro is both sturdy and light. The GeForce MX150 is based on NVIDIA's Pascal architecture, and is claimed to offer a 3x performance-per-watt advantage over the aged GeForce 940MX. The laptop weighs around 1.95 kg - and there's only one colour option available - dark gray. For comparison, the 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with four Thunderbolt 3 ports.

If that wasn't enough, the Mi Notebook Pro will also borrow elements from popular smart devices, which in this case translates into the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor built into the laptop's precision trackpad. With the current-gen MacBook Pro getting rid of the SD card reader, Xiaomi was eager to point out that the Mi Notebook Pro does include an SD card slot, along with two full-size USB 3.0 ports in addition to two USB-C ports and an HDMI out.

Regarding the specifications, the Mi Notebook Pro has a 15.6-inch display with has a Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 for the protection of the notebook screen. This notebook has a feature of the Harman Infinity speakers. You can also upgrade the notebook to tout up to 16GB of DDR4 2,400MHz RAM and a 256GB PCIe SSD will be included in the mix.

As for pricing, the top-end model with Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM costs RMB 6,9999 (or approx Rs 68,614). The laptop is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 4GHz, and there is an Intel Core i5 variant as well.
