LUCASFILMStar Wars 8 The Last Jedi NEW TRAILER ‘Absolutely AVOID IT’ warns director Rian Johnson

On Twitter last night, following the trailer's debut, Johnson tweeted out multiple porg-related photos in response to fans.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in cinemas worldwide on 15 December. Well, we can help you out, which is a good thing because this is probably only the beginning of the porg-volution.

What's happened to Luke? Instead of speculation that Kylo may be leading the Jedi-in-training to the dark side, it could be that he shows her the proper way to the light.

A brand-new poster for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is also available and tickets are now on sale everywhere tickets are sold!

Google unearths evidence of large-scale Russian interference during the U.S. election
Facebook's ads were turned over to the House and Senate intelligence committees and the Senate Judiciary Committee. That includes efforts on Capitol Hill to study Russian attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election.

In the clip Carrie, who has been playing Leia since the 1977 original, is seen looking troubled as the voice-over from her on-screen son, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) suggests he's going to blow up her ship. The actress had been able to finish the filming of the episode 8, but Disney had announced that she would not be present in episode 9, not even in CGI as the claimed to be a rumor.

Director Rian Johnson said there would be spoilers and this is a big one! Skywalker seems to be anxious about Rey's prodigal mastery of The Force, however. And in the trailer's coolest effect, red dust under the layer of stark white on a new planet described as a "mineral world" on the official site, indicating that the last Jedi is into geology.

Tributes, naturally, poured in following the loss of the actor who made Princess-turned-General Leia a household name, including a moving salute to her work on the Star Wars saga during Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this past April. And fans who attend these can see The Last Jedi at 6:00 P.M. local time, an hour before public show times.

This could also lead to a different interpretation of the trailer's final scene, in which Kylo is seen offering a hand of support to Rey. Then there's the hint that Ren and Rey could work together, leading to further speculation about Rey's heritage (as the main new lightsaber-wielder without a clear Skywalker or Kenobi connection).
