Tennessee announced Wednesday evening that wide receiver Jauan Jennings would be dismissed from the program. Jennings accused the UT coaches of lying (about what is unclear) before calling them "fake" and snakes. He said the "coaching staff (is) holding us back" and asked that Tennessee officials "bring us a coaching staff that's honest". The program parted ways with Butch Jones, who had been coaching in Knoxville since 2013, after the team started 0-6 in SEC play.

Jennings said he went to practice on Wednesday with hopes of playing against Vanderbilt on Saturday, going into a rant about how much he hates the Commodores.

Jennings has not played since dislocating his wrist in the season opener against Georgia Tech, and after being booted from the squad, he'll likely never play for the Vols again.

The loss of Jauan Jennings meant that Tennessee had one less playmaker on its offense, which would prove to be critical given the lack of consistency at quarterback.

Jennings, a junior from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, entered the year as Tennessee's top returning receiver.

Jennings leaves Tennessee with career numbers of 57 catches for 746 yards and 7 touchdowns in 26 games.

The Jennings dismissal is the latest chapter in Tennessee's nightmare season.
