Apple's Newest iPhone Update Finally Fixes That Annoying Autocorrect Bug

All we know is some iPhone X units become unresponsive seconds after changing ambient temperature, which is unacceptable given that winter is coming.

Apple said in a statement that the issue will be addressed in a future software update. Users on reddit have reported issues with the iPhone X becoming unresponsive when transitioning from a warm environment to a cold environment (e.g, going outside in November). "I try swiping on websites and it doesn't register my finger", wrote the original poster.

The problem was highlighted last week when people trying to tweet messages such as "I got a new iPhone" found their posts were appearing as "A [?] got a new iPhone". Some also came up with a possible explanation saying that the effect that light had on infrared camera and light sensor for FaceID authentication on the front may be the reason behind it.

When Apple fixes this issue, it may actually become the best iPhone for cold weather usage.

Guidance offered by Apple on its website reads: 'Low or high temperature conditions might cause the device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature. On Thursday, Apple had released iOS 11.1.1, an update that addresses an autocorrect bug that caused "i" to correct "A [?]" on some devices.

Other iPhone X owners chimed in to say that they, too, have experienced this problem with their handset.

Apple previously provided users with a workaround to mitigate the issue.

To install the new update, open your iPhone or iPad's settings menu, tap General, and choose "Software Update".

This is a relatively small update, so it shouldn't take long for you to download it and rid yourself of these bugs.

Just yesterday, the firm rolled out another update for iOS 11, following complaints of a freakish autocorrect issue that change the letter "i" to an A with a [?] symbol.
