Only beer is available now, for $10.99 a six pack.

"We know that beer and wine go great with pizza and we're uniquely positioned to deliver these given many of our restaurants already serve beer and wine", said Stacy Lynn Bourgeois, Pizza Hut's director of brand marketing.

Pizza Hut will start delivering wine in January, McWilliams said, and it is weighing whether to deliver single servings, full bottles or both.

The move by Pizza Hut is its latest attempt to increase its sales.

During October, the company announced its new delivery system that promises to keep pies hotter.

The other four pacemen - Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav - were automatic picks. Considering him over world's number 1 and 2 spinners (Ashwin and Jadeja) would have been a big ask.

The delivery of beer and wine could provide Pizza Hut with a decided edge. By the end of the year, the company expects to hire 14,000 new drivers. Of course, individual stores will need to acquire liquor licenses, but a Pizza Hut representative told CNN plenty of locations already have one, so that should not be too big a hurdle in the process.

This beer delivery move comes after Yum poured $130 million into Pizza Hut in April in order to better compete with rivals Domino's and Papa Johns.

Rival Papa John's worldwide sells beer and wine at a handful of locations in the western United States and at locations in Latin America, China and Russian Federation.

Pizza Hut's delivery drivers will be at least 21 years old and trained in local alcohol laws. Customers also have to have their IDs ready at the door to take advantage of delivery.
